Prickly Hay
Year 1 and 2 took part in two wonderful performances of Prickly Hay.
We are very proud of them all.
Christmas Card Competition
Spennymoor Town Council ran a competition to design a Christmas card that would be sent out. The Children’s Leadership Team picked a selection from the Cauliflower Cards that each class did a few months ago. These were then sent off for a winner to be picked. Tia Hardy’s design was chosen as the winner and Tia was awarded with a commemorative frame with her winning design in. She and her family are very proud! Well done Tia.
Stick Man
In 1/2R we read the story of Stick Man and did some English activities based on the story. We each made our own Stick Man and described him.
Santa Visit
The children in years 1 and 2 went to the Town Hall to visit Santa in his grotto. They each received a gift and had the chance to tell Santa what they would like for Christmas.
Autumn Half Term 1
This half term in the 1/2 classes, we have worked with Brendan Renwick to do some music. We have been finding out about making long and short sounds, high and low sounds, quiet and loud sounds and fast and slow sounds. We have been playing different instruments and listening to songs as well as joining in using puppets.
