In 2009, in recognition of the work of our Eco Action Group, Ox Close Primary School achieved the Eco Schools Silver Award.
During 2009-10, our Eco Action Group were very busy raising awareness of a range of eco issues. In January 2010, the group thoroughly enjoyed visiting Cassop Primary School to see a range of sustainable and environmentally friendly projects.
In March 2010, staff and pupils from Tudhoe Grange School invited our Eco Action Group to take part in the ‘Recharging the Earth’ project. In June 2010, the whole school took part in the Low Carbon Day and in July 2010, the Eco Action Group attended a celebration event at Tudhoe Grange School to share their ‘Future Earth’ artwork.
