Leadership Update

February 27, 2024 by admin

Dear Parents/Carers,

I am contacting you to provide an update regarding the leadership of Ox Close Federation.

As you may be aware, Mr Harrison has not been in Nursery or Primary for a number of weeks as he has been unwell. He has now made the decision to leave the role of Executive Headteacher and explore other opportunities. I am sure you will join me in thanking him for the hard work and dedication he has given to the Federation over the past 12 years.

With immediate effect, the Governors have appointed Miss Bowden into the role of Acting Executive Headteacher. We wish her every success in her new role.

Kind regards,

Pam Sneath

Chair of Governors for Ox Close Federation

What a great start to 2024! The children have worked very hard and made great progress across the half term. Well done to each and every one of you. Keep it up next half term! There have been lots of exciting lessons taking place across the Federation and it has been great to see the children enthralled in these. Thank you to the staff for your continued efforts to create the best possible learning experiences for the children. Thank you to parents/carers for your support too – it is very much appreciated. Included below are some of our events planned for the next half term to give you as much notice as possible. We hope you all have a fabulous half term break and look forward to seeing you on Monday 26th February.

Football Success

October 13, 2023 by admin

Well done to our two school football teams who have been competing in the Go Well League at Whitworth Park Academy for the past 4 weeks. After some impressive goals and performances, our Yellow team managed to get a draw tonight which helped them secure a 6th place finish. Meanwhile, our Blue team managed two victories tonight to claim 3rd place and take home the bronze medals. Over the last 4 weeks, we have noticed massive improvements in both teams. We can see players beginning to gel and build some chemistry, which bodes well for future tournaments. Well done to everyone, and thank you to the parents and carers for your support!

Thank you to each and every child, every member of staff and all of the parents and carers for their efforts, hard work and huge smiles throughout this year. We hope that you all have a lovely break and look forward to seeing you all in September.

Ox Fest – 30.06.2023

June 16, 2023 by admin

Friday 30th June is getting closer … and the excitement is growing.  Shortly, you will receive your child’s 5 vouchers to “spend” on the activities which will be available on the field during the afternoon.  There will be some live music throughout the event, as well as some information stands from outside agencies who may be able to offer advice and support for you to use at home.  We are excited to let you know that we will have a hot food trailer and an ice cream van available on site for you to purchase food throughout the afternoon.  We would love you to bring blankets and camping chairs along with you to relax and socialise with other parents, carers and families as the children enjoy the activities.  On the day, children can come to school in non-uniform – the theme is bright colours and festival wear!
