Thank you to all of the parents who attended our E-Safety workshop on Wednesday evening. Our special guest, Stella James from Gooseberry Planet, provided an engaging and informative discussion about staying safe online. She provided a wealth of advice and strategies which will help protect parents and their children from potential dangers on the internet.
Stella has kindly provided her presentation from the workshop for you to download using the link below. It contains all of the information from Wednesday.

On Saturday 4th February, our bid for It’s Up 2 U funding was successful. Miss Bowden attended Spennymoor Leisure Centre and members of the public voted for various causes. It was fantastic to hear that our bid had been successful. The money will go towards brand new sports equipment, which will be used on our new MUGA. This will help in our efforts to provide holiday club provisions. Thank you to those who voted and special thanks go to Miss Bowden for leading the bid on Saturday.

On Wednesday morning, we had a terrific response from parents who attended a Relax Kids session. Debra Forth ran the session and gave parents a very valuable insight into the work that she is doing with some of our children.

Ox Close has been awarded the Gold School Games Mark. The School Games Mark is a Government led awards scheme launched in 2012 to reward schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school and into the community. This award demonstrates our dedication to giving children opportunities to compete in a variety of different sports and is an accolade we are very proud of.
