Class 5D

Welcome to 5D – Miss Day

5D Introduction.

Hello, my name is Miss Day and I am the teacher in 5D. This is my first year teaching at Ox Close and I am so excited to completing this in 5D.

I am passionate about Maths, Reading, French and PE. In my spare time I love going to the gym and taking part in fitness classes.

I have high expectations of all of the children in my class and expect that they follow our rules we came up with as a class.

My aim is for every child in my class to be independent, successful learners, confident and build up essential life skills.

Working in 5D alongside myself is Miss Dent and Mrs Bell. They both have the same expectations and offer support in lessons to ensure the children remain happy and productive.

PE Day

Our class PE day is a Thursday.

Please can children arrive at school in their kits, which should be appropriate sportswear, preferably black bottoms and a white T-shirt.

We kindly ask that your child does not wear earrings to school on this day and all hair must be tied back.

During the Winter months, children should also bring in a warm jumper/hoodie, as some sessions will be taking place outside.

Homework

Maths homework is set on Seesaw on a Friday which is due in by the following Wednesday.

Children are also provided with a reading book which I recommend they read for 10 minutes daily.

Children also have accesses to Time Table Rockstar’s which I recommend they go on 3 times a week.

Additional Resources

All children in Key Stage 2 have passwords to the following websites:

Times Tables Rock Stars

Accelerated Reader

Should you need any other information whilst your child is in 5D, please do not hesitate to contact me on Seesaw or call the school office to make an appointment to come and see me.
